While clearing land mines in Cambodia, Army intelligence agent Jack Poynt makes a gruesome discovery. Not only does he inadvertently uncover a virtual killing field of toxically poisoned bodies - the remnants of a top secret CIA installation from the Vietnam era - he also uncovers an incriminating journal that exposes the madness and atrocities of Max Camden, the man responsible for the disaster. Sickened by his discoveries, Jack realizes that the fiercely anti-Asian Camden, now the trusted Defense Secretary to President Vanhorn, is deliberately instigating a war between the U.S. and China. Now, protecting the journal, only Jack can expose the whole world pays a terrible price. When the all-powerful Camden learns the journal has surfaced, he immediately targets Jack for death. Jack and Kim, a beautiful Chinese agent who is also out to stop Camden, devise a plan to confront him at a U.N. peace meeting covered by the world media - the outcome will be the difference between war and peace.
