Set in Portland, Oregon, Huff centers on the life of 40-something good-guy psychiatrist Dr. Craig "Huff" Huffstodt suffering from a midlife crisis. Huff's world includes his lovely but complicated wife, Beth, a teenage son named Byrd who is mature beyond his years, and Huff's overprotective and domineering mother, Izzy, who just so happens to live in the guesthouse. Complicating matters is Huff's best friend Russell Meeks, a fearless attorney with somewhat questionable ethics.
