Friends With Money: Frances McDormand stars as Jane, a successful dress designer who has taken to wild public outbursts, stops washing her hair, and is married to a kind man who might be gay (Simon McBurney). Joan Cusack is Franny, a multimillionaire who appears to have the perfect life with her husband (Greg Germann) and kids. Catherine Keener plays Christine, who is building her dream house and writing a screenplay with her husband (Jason Isaacs) as their life together is crumbling. And the youngest of the foursome, Olivia (Jennifer Aniston), is a pot-smoking ne'er-do-well who works as a maid, stalks her ex-lover, and has a thing about not paying for certain high-end cosmetics. As they prepare to attend a major fundraiser for ALS, they all take stock of their lives, reaching some very difficult conclusions...
The Break-Up: After Brooke (Aniston) calls it quits with her boyfriend Gary (Vaughn), neither person is willing to move out of the condo they share. Taking the advice of their repsective friends and confidants (and a few total strangers), they both engage in mental warfare designed to force the other person to flee the premises - until they both realize they might be fighting to keep their relationship alive.
Along Came Polly: When risk-averse Reuben Feffer's new bride dumps him on their honeymoon for a muscle-bound scuba instructor, his plans for love and life are thrown wildly off track. A chance encounter with an adventure craving, childhood friend named Polly shoots him into a whirlwind of extreme sports, spicy foods, ferrets and salsa dancing. Can Reuben, the ultimate control freak, really change and live in the moment.
