Up to few years ago the only way of tweeking you PC for more omph was to change the CPU or the RAM to new levels every other year. But since the dawn of solid state drives there is not only a new way.
Up to then you measured your performance on "how fast is your Windos starting??"
Well if your motherboard couldn't make more out of the speeds your slow HDD had, your CPU and RAM never had a chance to be their fastest because the bottleneck of date to be loaded was stuck before them.
An SSD though dosn't have that drawback. you get loading speeds 2-3x as fast!
Think "gamer" - think "no more loading screens"!
