The Hobbit Trilogy

There and Back Again...

Out Now!

Set before the time of The Lord Of The Rings, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug & The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies are to come together in a single collection for your marathon viewing pleasure. Finally all three are now available in a single box set on DVD and Blu-ray. Blu-ray buyers will also be able to watch the entire epic adventure portrayed in 3D on your own TV (3D TV required). This is Peter Jackson's masterpiece trilogy based on the legendary J.R.R Tolkien's writings.

In the first instalment of the trilogy The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Bilbo Baggins is swept away on a magical and dangerous adventure along with some unexpected companions the Wizard Gandalf and 13 Dwarves. Thorin Oakenshield , the leader of the company of Dwarves and rightful heir to the throne of Erebore, leads them on a journey to the Misty Mountains towards the Lonely Mountain whilst travelling under constant risk of attack from enemies old and new. They know that this will not be an easy quest, as the Lonely Mountain and the treasures of Erebore are guarded by the dreaded dragon Smaug. The film received amazing critic reviews and smashed box office records.

In The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug the company are smuggled into Esgaroth by a boatman called Bard who they then find out is a descendant of the last ruler of Dale and possesses the last remaining black arrow capable of killing and defeating the legendary dragon Smaug . The necromancer that Gandalf was warned about in An Unexpected Journey reveals his true identity and things take a turn in the very worst way. Bilbo and the Dwarves head from Laketown up to the Lonely Mountain in an attempt to take the mountain back for themselves but they unleash red hot fury on themselves and those that have helped them. Receiving reviews as good as if not better than the first instalment, the film received a very warm welcome from old fans and new.

In The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies Bilbo and the Dwarves are left to watch the devastating consequences of their actions when trying to take the mountain back. Laketown is at the mercy of Smaug, who is destroying everything in his path and must be stopped. But by who? Inside Erebor, Thorin starts to hallucinate and is not himself. His condition could cost him the mountain as armies amass outside the gates to do battle. A war of Dwarves against Elves and Men is on the tipping scales, and when Orcs enter the equation, things turn to chaos in the final - and possibly best - instalment of the trilogy.

The Hobbit books have been portrayed perfectly in these cinematic adaptations, of which J.R.R Tolkien would be proud. All films received rave reviews and went on to be critically acclaimed, winning awards and breaking records. Don't miss out on the collection, order your copy now.

The Hobbit trailers are just as epic as the films and the cast have been expertly chosen for their roles. Some old faces from The Lord Of The Rings trilogy appear in these films, but they of course are younger, as chronologically, The Hobbit stories were written before The Lord Of The Rings. Bilbo Baggins is much younger, a strapping 50 years old when his story begins, and characters like Legolas the Elf are also included in these films, again appearing younger thanks to the incredible use of CGI.
