Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is the fourth and possibly final game in the much praised, beloved Uncharted series, published by Sony Computer Entertainment and developed by Naughty Dog (the studio responsible for The Last Of Us) exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
Set three years after the events of Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, the series main protagonist, Nathan Drake is now retired from fortune hunting and enjoying a normal life with his wife Elena. Until, the sudden reappearance of his long believed dead, older brother Sam turns his world upside down.
The two embark on a globe-trotting adventure, one that Naughty Dog describe as his greatest adventure yet, one that will test his physical limits, his resolve and ultimately what he's willing to sacrifice to save the ones he loves in pursuit of a long lost pirate colony and its fabled pirate treasure.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is the first in the series to feature on the PS4 and harnesses the power of the new hardware to great effect, featuring greater freedom than ever during some of the games signature action sequences. This was shown in the first game play video at PlayStation Experience in December 2014.
The video showcases Drake exploring a rocky jungle area while fighting several enemies and shows some new mechanics on display, such as grappling and hiding in foliage. Melee combat also looks more dynamic, with enemies countering more of Drake's attacks leading to harder and more exciting close quarter fight sequences.
The video also shows Drake now has the use of a piton that can be driven in to rock faces to climb terrain that was previously impassable, allowing for more dynamic vertical movement and freedom.
The game is out now for PS4.
At the time, Uncharted series writer Amy Hennig was the lead writer and creative director on the project, along with director Justin Richmond as the director who also worked on Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception. Both Henning and Richmond left Naughty Dog in March 2014 with the gaming media speculating that they were forced out.
This was later proved untrue and Naughty Dog co-presidents referred to the claims as unprofessional and hurtful in an official statement clarifying the events. On June 2nd 2014 is was announced that Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley who had worked previously on Uncharted: Drakes Fortune and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves before leading the work on hugely successful title 'The Last Of Us' were now heading the games development.
