Product Description
In the Summer of 1940 the Luftwaffe launched a series of 1000 air raids on Britain. Rowan's Battle of Britain simulates each of these exactly with up to 800 square miles of sky buzzing with aircraft. Play the game as either a pilot or commander of either the RAF or Luftwaffe. The campaign is dynamic and in the case of the RAF the campaign operates dynamically in real time. Or just leap into the thick of the action with a choice of quick missions.
The excitement of air battle is enhanced with three multi player options: Deathmatch, Team Play and Quick Mission. Radio chatter fills the air as you take on the enemy face to face, in air warfare with out radar guided missiles or any of the mod-cons of modern dog fighting.
- Fly five authentic aircraft - Spitfire, Hurricane, Messerschmitts BF109 & BF110 and Stuka Dive Bomber Ju87.
- Man the gun position of a German bomber - Dornier Do17, Heinkel He111 or the Junkers Ju88.
- South of England and London rendered in stunning detail with unprecedented realistic clouds and weather effects.
- Direct the RAF defence from accurately detailed Fighter Command plotting tables.
- Take part in some of the largest dogfights ever seen in a flight simulation.
- Multiplayer options for up to 8 players over a network or the Internet.
