This double CD gathers the allbum "Absolutely Live" originally published on vinyl when Jim Morrison and the other Doors were still around and "Alive she cried", a later collection of live songs. Absolutely live is not a single concert but a "puzzle" of different concerts put together by the producer Paul Rothchild with the archaic technology of the sixties. So the sound is not so good. Even Jim Morrison was not enthusiastic about this record. But it is the first live concert of the Doors ever published and so it's a piece of history. And you can hear the complete "Celebration of the Lizard" from the Aquarium live concert in L.A. (1969) and a very good version of "Break on through" (Live in Detroit). Alive she cried album, sounds better but it's just a compilation of live songs with a couple of pearls: "Gloria" by Van Morrison and a punk version of "You make me real" which is better than the original take included in "Morrison Hotel".
