The game features various multiplayer modes, including competitive and cooperative play.

- Play as the cast of High School Musical - Play as all seven main characters of High School Musical.
- Customisation - Customise the characters with a variety of outfits, shoes, hairstyles, etc.
- Create-a-Player - Design, create and customise your own Wildcat from a library of character assets.
- Over 30 Hit-Songs - Dance to over 30 hit-songs from all three High School Musical movies, including 10 new songs from High School Musical 3: Senior Year.
- Earn Chemistry Points - Earn points that let you buy new outfits and gifts that you can give to other players or to High School Musical characters. Achieve higher chemistry levels so you can become better friends with High School Musical characters!
- Quizzes - Quiz questions that enable players to express their personality and find out what they have in common with their favourite High School Musical stars!
Multiplayer modes.:
- Head-to-Head - Two players compete in sequence, taking turns in the Dance Ring.
- Synchronous Co-Op - Move in step as a team! Gain points individually or double your score if both players hit the right moves!
- Split Duties Co-Op - Play as different characters, striking different poses to gain points as a team!
