Never before has aerial combat been so fast, so in-your-face and so vicious. It's time to set the sky on fire.

The demanding Project Aces development team at Namco Bandai Games Inc. in Japan weren't satisfied. They wanted more from the series. They wanted planes that tore apart limb from limb right in front of your face, spewing their oil lifeblood across the sky. They wanted to scrape the streets and dodge the steel skyscrapers of real world cities at blistering speeds, in an enthralling war drama that spanned the globe with a web of intrigue. They wanted players to pick up the controller and become deadly combat pilots in seconds, pulling off breathtaking kills at impossible speeds, and doing battle online in a multiplayer sky littered with fiery supersonic debris. What they wanted was steel carnage in the sky.

The result is not a sequel in the multi-million selling smash hit Ace Combat series, but a complete rebirth, a phoenix from the ashes flying at three times the speed of sound. The Project Aces team is building Ace Combat: Assault Horizon from the ground up, with new technology fuelling their passionately realised vision of a game that puts players in the dark heart of the fight like no aerial combat game has done before.

    Key Features

    • Dramatic realistic storyline: Dramatic realistic storyline – Written by New York Times Best Seller and military author Jim DeFelice, players will experience an engaging war drama spanning real-world locations across the globe

Ace Combat Assault Horizon Xbox 360 Okay - as far as I know the advertising is recruited this product as a simulator but not as action flick. And it also satisfies the passage. Still, how many times I've been annoyed me that a F15 or an Apache flying "he was very feeble." This has nothing to do with reality. But if it is classed by design then it is very good.

This game is espectcular I recommend it 100%, used helicopters and planes, it looks great, with high quality graphics, missions are performed in city like dubai, miami, washington dc etc. the game is much more complete than the ace previous combat, has another way to aim and launch the missiles, has a complete collection of aircraft such as f-22f-14, su-47, su-35 etc, has very good bombing missions

The latest entry in the Ace Combat series offers solid aerial combat, fast dogfight sequences, and real-world locations. Here is my review:

Graphics: 5/5 The game's visuals are very solid and well done. The landscapes are detailed and generally look good. The animations during the cutscenes isn't too bad, either. The explosions are very well done, as well. The game is quite cinematic.

Sound: 5/5 The sound effects, music, and radio chatter are very standard for an Ace Combat game. It does a good job of immersing you as a fighter pilot.

Control: 4/5 The control is everything you'd expect from a flying game You get two options for control of your fighter-- Optimized and Original. Original requires you to roll your aircraft in order to turn effectively, while Optimized doesn't. My only complaint here is that the helicopter flight controls could have been more intuitive and tighter. The aiming during chopper combat is a pain. The "gunner" controls on a helicopter minigun and AC-130 are well done.

Content: 4/5 The only major gripe I have with this game is that Target Leads are very difficult to shoot down without engaging Dogfight Mode. It shouldn't have been this way-- you should have a choice of either engaging DFM or shooting down the Target Lead the usual way (with the same difficulty level as DFM). On the flip side, DFM adds a cinematic element to dogfights. The addition of helicopter flight and gunner duty adds to the experience of the entire game.

Total Score: 4/5
