Much hype surrounded this game as many of us have waited for so long for the next instalment in the Fallout series. Perhaps controversially, I think Fallout is better than the Elder Scrolls series. I got tired of Skyrim after about 30 hours, and have therefore been eagerly anticipating Fallout 4's release for years. So far, it has not disappointed. I'm on around 13 hours so far, and doubt that I have even scratched the surface of this game. Having put in over 100 hours each on Fallout 3 and New Vegas, I imagine there will be a heck of a lot of gameplay in 4.
There is a vast array of weaponry, which is capable of being modded (a feature which I like, having been introduced to weapon modding in Dead Island). Armour can also be modded, and unlike previous Fallout games weapon and armour does not deteriorate - no need to continually repair your favourite guns with others you might see lying around. Junk can now be scrapped instead of sold, and used to build buildings and features in settlements that you can control - growing food and building gun turrets to defend them.
Although I've only completed a handful of quests I think I'll be playing this game for a long while yet and for less than £40 it is excellent value for money.
