I agree with the other reviewers on this site, this game is very much a mash up between Metroid (Perhaps Elite if you remember that from the 80's/90's) and Mine Craft, endless game play if you are a crafting game fan, cool retro graphics and feel to the game and lots of replay if this is your sort of thing. Not usually my cup of tea but I did enjoy my time with the game!

Terraria has a lot to do. The character system is great, and there are pretty much no bugs. The music is pleasant, and the enemy pathfinding is pretty cool. Aside from this, Terraria is a fantastic, overlooked game. I'd recommend it to anyone with time on their hands.

Lasting appeal: 9.5/10: Terraria have a little few frowns but that does not testify that it's a bad game, in fact it's a brilliant game. It’s addictive, great for exploring. Its only downside is it’s not like Minecraft for crafting items but then again, it’s not Minecraft! It’s Terraria and its great!

Terraria is a cute little Indie game made by Re-Logic. Despite its lack of a third dimension, Terraria adds a lot of depth to the second dimension. For me it’s tens all the way gameplay: 10/10 music: 10/10 graphics: 8/10 lasting appeal: 10/10) seriously this is one of the few games I have been this addicted to.

Just by looking at the graphics or even the games download size, it would be very easy for someone to completely dismiss the game at a glance. Make no mistake that inside is a very highly addictive game experience with a fair amount of depth and intricacies that make the game completely immersive. For me it’s been one of those rare pleasant surprises.

The best way to describe Terraria would be a cross between Metroidvania and Minecraft. Terraria is a 2D sandbox / side scrolling free roam platformer / RPG that has its gameplay rooted in harvesting materials, building with those materials, exploration, and character progression. Really you have a pretty interesting package oozing with potential.
