Resident Evil
Something rotten is brewing beneath the industrial mecca known as Raccoon City. Unknown to its millions of residents, a huge underground bioengineering facility known as The Hive has accidentally unleashed the deadly and mutating T-virus, killing all of its employees. To contain the leak, the governing supercomputer Red Queen has sealed all entrances and exits. Now a team of highly-trained super commandos including Rain, Alice and Matt must race to penetrate The Hive in order to isolate the T-virus before it overwhelms humanity. To do so, they must get past the Red Queen's deadly defenses, face the flesh-eating undead employees, fight killer mutant dogs and battle The Licker, a genetically mutated savage beast whose strength increases with each of its slain victims.

Resident Evil Apocalypse
The sequel to the $100 million hit, Resident Evil: Apocalypse is again based on the wildly popular video game series and picks up where the first film ended. The zombies are back and so is Alice (Jovovich). Since being captured by the notorious Umbrella Corporation, she has been subjected to biogenetic experimentation and has become genetically altered with super-human strengths, senses and dexterity. Now, she has teamed with other survivors of Earth ready to destroy any zombie in their path. After escaping from the Racoon City Medical Facility, Alice searches for answers to the T-Virus and how to contain it. On the other side of town, a woman named Jill Valentine plots her own escape while battling the undead and Matt Adison, now transformed into a monster called "The Nemesis", who is bent on destroying all who live.

Resident Evil Extinction
Alice (Milla Jovovich), now in hiding in the Nevada desert, once again joins forces with Carlos Olivera (Oded Fehr) and L.J. (Mike Epps), along with new survivors Claire (Ali Larter), K-Mart (Spencer Locke) and Nurse Betty (Ashanti), to try to eliminate the deadly virus that threatens to make every human being undead. Since being captured by the Umbrella Corporation, Alice has been subjected to biogenic experimentation and becomes genetically altered, with super-human strengths, senses and dexterity. These skills, and more, will be needed if anyone is to remain alive...

Resident Evil Afterlife
Latest in the game to film franchise. In a world ravaged by a virus infection, turning its victims into the Undead, Alice (Milla Jovovich), continues on her journey to find survivors and lead them to safety. Her deadly battle with the Umbrella Corporation reaches new heights, but Alice gets some unexpected help from an old friend. A new lead that promises a safe haven from the Undead leads them to Los Angeles, but when they arrive the city is overrun and Alice and her comrades find themselves about to step into a deadly trap.

Customer Reviews

by Dean on December 17th 2012

The Resident Evil series has always surpassed expectation and have been amazing games, full of tense, suspense and scares. They try to emulate this same atmosphere and effect throughout the Resident Evil films, but only manage it in a few places: these tend to focus more on the action and Milla Jovovich (of Fifth Element Fame) kicking undead ass. The films are good in parts but also lacking in others, but still a good enjoyable viewing. As the story progresses, so do the characters and there abilities, going from superhuman zombie slasher to human pussycat dolls. Whilst there are some suspenseful moments and occasionally a nail-biting part, the series is lacking the character and feature of the games. Also, only a few characters from the games appear in the films, such as Carlos, Chris and Claire, but as a long term Resi fan, i was a bit disappointed. Its worthy viewing every once in a while though, and with the new Resident Evil: Retribution film having been released, expect another box set available soon.
