Each episode focuses on the jobs and skills of the Industrial Revolution s unsung heroes, rather than the familiar famous names - so the ordinary men, women and children who executed the engineers ideas.
Throughout the series, Guy works on a steam locomotive, a Yorkshire sawmill, the oldest surviving Brixham sailing trawler and visits the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. The episodes are: 'Train', 'Mill', 'Seaside', 'Mine', 'Trawler' and 'Garden'.
