    • In addition to a diverse array of combat and platforming challenges, this seamlessly-interconnected environment features more than 20 powerful and devious bosses

amazing game. It's commonly compared with dark souls (i guess due to the fact that enemies are not butter, and sometimes (most of the time) you really need to be careful with what you do) BUT, I will disagree. why? mainly because I hate dark souls games, just because of the stupidity of its in-game limitations (movement, attack speed, etc). Salt and sanctuary is different to that,,, really well-designed enemies, good combat flow, and amaaazing level design making backtracking super fun and enjoyable. if you like challenging Metroidvania games this is a must-have. btw, the skill tree (spheres-based) remind me a lot to FFX! (which is great =D), and btw, the skill tree is gigantic.

Sometimes this game can be seen borrowing from various other sources (an early battle sees you fight something with a strong resemblance to Lovecraft's Cthulhu), but that doesn't detract so much as make the scope of the game feel greater and more grounded. Stylistically it's both beautful and, at times, disturbing. Bottom line? If you enjoyed the Dark Souls series, particularly the often-challenging gameplay, you will most likely enjoy this as well.
