Queendomino has many similarities with Kingdomino, as the positioning of the pieces, the order to pick them up and the operation of the land score by the number of crowns. There are, of course, differences, but less than I expected: there is a new type of land, where it is possible to put pieces that have varying effects and costs, besides being now possible to tax the lands, in order to obtain more money just to invest in the constructions (or earn a few points at the end of the game, but building is usually better). The additions are few, and we, who knew the Kingdomino, quickly entered the game itself, without difficulty. Queendomino is therefore a slight step forward in complexity, but it also includes more interesting decisions and inserts more variety. I recommend!
A souped up version of Kingdomino, this is a more complicated version of the tile laying game. Adding in extra mechanics, this isn’t a game for complete beginners, but is a great step up from Kingdomino if that’s what you’re after. Different strategies are required with more options to disturb your opponents tactics. Another great game from Bruno Cathala.
Queendomino is basically "Kingdomino for gamers". It takes all the basic mechanics of Kingdomino and adds an extra layer of complexity to them in the form of modular city tiles and additional ways to earn points, requiring you to consider more variables when making your decisions. However, this game by no means renders Kingdomino obsolete, but rather gives you another way to play... So I still think that it's best to own both.
