The Empire must fall. Our mission must succeed. By destroying their key bases, we will shatter Imperial strength and liberate our people. Yet spies have infiltrated our ranks, ready for sabotage. We must unmask them. In five nights we reshape destiny or die trying. We are the Resistance! The Resistance is a party game of social deduction. It is designed for five to ten players, lasts about 30 minutes, and has no player elimination. The Resistance is inspired by Mafia/ Werewolf, yet it is unique in its core mechanics, which increase the resources for informed decisions, intensify player interaction, and eliminate player elimination.

This is another great example of game that the fun is not in the rules or the actions you do, the wow aspect is on the conversations and intrigues. if you play it straightforward it is boring as hell, but keep talking, manipulating, trying to identify the liars and you'll have a funny experience.

Fantastic party and social game. Perfect to gather many people and enjoy this great deduction game. From 5 to 10 players, but best if you are 7 or more. At the beginning you get a card with your character. That is secret. You have two factions, the good ones and the bad ones. Game placed in a dystopian futurist world. During 5 quests rounds you will try to succeed or sabotage each mission depending on your character, and only if you were picked as a team member for it. When people is introduced the first time, during the explanation, the game seems a bit pointless or maybe boring, it takes one or two times until you start getting that good feeling and it becomes in an addiction, a good one. Gameplay is really fast and fluid, it takes 10 to 20 minutes to finish it, sometimes a bit more, depending on the group talking. To me, that is the best part, start talking, bluffering, convincing people and deducing who is who. Worth to mention there are special characters with special abilities, making the game really solid.

If you like hidden role social deduction games, this is definitely a winner. Unlike Werewolf, it has some structure to the gameplay. That is, you get some information about people based on whether they vote for the mission to go ahead or not, and also of course from whether the mission failed or succeeded. As with this type of game, it can be difficult to get any useful information. But because it has some structure, it works. I have played this with a group of 7: two PhDs, two people over 45, two people under 15, and three people in their mid twenties. This was really quite a different mix of abilities and strategies. And still the game worked well for everyone. Everyone felt like they could do something strategically but also felt there was some difficulty making decisions. I've heard that one night revolution is great if you want a more structured game, but I've never played that

A great social deduction/party game. If you love werewolf/mafia type game then you will probably enjoy this. The teams are split into two teams. The good guys need to complete 3 out of the 5 missions. To do so each turn, the group leader after some discussion will elect a team to go on the current mission. Once a team is selected and majority approval is given, the team members will either elect to fail or succeed to mission by placing there chosen cards in a pile, with the other cards shuffled in a discard pile. If there is one fail, the mission fails. It is simple to teach, and there is no need for a moderator and there is no player elimination here. Great fun and it plays quite quickly. I prefer it with 7+ players.
