Upon moving to a quiet new neighbourhood, the Creed family lose their cat in a road accident. Feeling bad for them, a neighbour tells Mr Creed (Dale Midkiff) of an ancient Indian burial ground believed to have powers of resurrection. However, when the Creed's infant son meets a fate similar to the family pet, Mr Creed can't resist temptation and, in his zeal, unleashes an unspeakable evil from beyond the grave. Director Mary Lambert's (THE IN CROWD) second film is a faithful, if underrated, rendering of the Stephen King bestseller.
