Star Wars: The Prequel Trilogy (Episodes I, II & III) Blu-ray

Please note this is a region B Blu ray and will require a region B or region free Blu-ray player in order to play.

The saga begins... When Jedi Knight Qui-Gon Jin and his apprentice Obi-Wan Kenobi find themselves ambushed by Federation robots when on an ambassadorial mission, little do they know that a young slave boy that they meet will change the face of the galaxy forever. The boy, Anakin Skywalker, is a potentially powerful Jedi, but throughout the years he continually disobeys his Jedi training - and embarks on a forbidden love affair with Padme Amidala. Meanwhile his teacher Obi-Wan is caught up in the middle of plot which brings the Republic to the brink of civil war. As the Clone Wars rage on, Anakin finds his allegiances torn. Seduced by promises of power, he pledges himself to the Dark Side, becoming Darth Vader - and sets in motion a plan to destroy the Jedi.

Ok get them in a box and do not pay the overpriced single versions of these. And you have to have StarWars on BluRay. Sound and picture is everything to this. But I,II,III never can stand up to the old saga. It is not because of bad acting or a poor storyline it is because of uninspired acting. Just see it this way: Hamil, Ford and all the other cast had their youth in an aera where Space-Comics had themselves throbbing with the vastness of Space and the futuristic adventures to be had there. You see Han Solo and you have the adventurer type ready to set off for the galaxies, you see Luke with the dreamy eyes of a boy longing for the adventures among the stars. And then you see I,II,III and you can almost feel the clinical impression of greenbox Lucas shot them on the actors. It wasn't there for them...they cannot make it believable for you as the old cast could with the props they were able to see and immerse themselves into. Yes this is a spectacle - just not spectacular on the old level.
