7 wonders is really fun and somewhat easy to learn. I only wish it were longer.

A great game, with a lot different strategies to win, a game that can be played with the kids (my 10 years old son already won against me a few times) a fast game - not more then 30 minutes play. You should realy buy this game...

Great game, fast paced, almost no downtime between turns. Has elements of luck, strategy, interplayer interaction, engine building and does all that with ease and grace. Beautifully implemented artwork, endless replayability. Truly a great game!

Wonderful game of a great gamer design. Game theme, gameplay and art in total harmony. New players may be scared at first by the amount of symbols and options to memorize, but their learning curve is not so steep as to leave this player lost for more than two matches. Already for the more experienced, the depth of the strategy provides a good rejogabilidad, so that it will take a while until the group misses more options. But for this also has solution: the expansions already marketed! I highly recommend this game to all players, especially to strategists

This was one of the first games to introduce me to the card drafting mechanic, which is one of my favorite mechanics, and is still one of my favorite drafting games. It plays really quickly and is great fun. The rules are quite simple, you just need to learn about the different ages and the affects of the different cards and symbols. Another thing I like is that it has simultaneous action selection, so that everyone is always doing something and there is pretty much no down time. I also like the level of player interaction in the game, as your strategies will be altered by what the other players are doing. The game scales well at all player counts, except, I think, that it fails as a 2 player game (but there is a two player version out now if your interested). Great fun!

This is a great game for gamers and non-gamers alike. It has a really short learning curve and everybody is playing their move at the same time. If you want to introduce people to board gaming I would recommend this game. And one more thing, more players = more fun and playing time remains the same.

Bauza makes some great games. Seven Wonders is a civ building game in a handful of cards. It seems strange initially, but you can easily abstract an entire civilization, its wonders, and its leaders (if you have the expansion) in a half hour to an hour. This is one game with a short learning curve. Loads of expansions. Plays best with 5 to 6.

Aside from party games, the length of most games usually grows with the number of players - a strategy game that takes an hour with 2 players can easily take 90 minutes with 3 players. This game can play up to 7 players, and it will still take only 30 minutes. How? Using the brilliant card drafting mechanism, in which all players are dealt a hand of cards, and they all choose one and pass the remaining cards to the person next to them. That mechanism is the heart of 7 Wonders, a fantastic game which provides plenty of very interesting strategic choices while still being relatively easy to teach and play. Great for families!
