The tense game of tactics strategy and bluffing is back with new artwork!
An ancient game of ornate skulls and dangerous roses, Skull is a simple to learn but dangerously difficult to win. You must bluff, life and pierce through the deceptions to expose the roses. Be wary though if you happen to cross a skull the consequences are dire!
Players will hold three rose cards and one skull. Add a card to the pile in front of you and when you feel lucky announce your challenge and declare how many cards you will flip. Cards that show a rose are safe but if you expose your opponent's hidden skull you lose one of your own cards.
Tension mounts as you play your cards, one at a time around the table and around again. Do you are to try your luck? Will you raise the stakes or fold under the heat? Do you have the guts to make a grab for the rose or will you back down and hope your foes get stuck with the grinning skull?AS
Keep your cards to the bitter end to win this clever game of deception and perception!
Players 3-6 Ages 10+ Playing Time 45 Minutes

I think this is a great game. It's very simple, but quickly convolutes into something intricate for two reasons. First, you get feedback on what people have done in other rounds. And secondly, people will be losing the amount of options they have available to them.
The game is simple: place down one or more tokens in front of you. You get four tokens - three roses, one skull. Everyone does the same. Then bid on how many you can turn over that don't have a skull on it. Successfully complete your bid twice, and it's game over. That probably sounds quite boring. But it makes a great little filler game, and because people will lose tokens over the course of the game, the probabilities are changing through the game.
The quality of the components are good, but I was disappointed by the artwork. That's not to say the artwork isn't great - in fact, it looks fantastic. But I was disappointed because of the change of theme in comparison to the previous print. There is a sort of mexican day of the dead theme to the skulls and roses, as you can see by the box artwork. But previously there was a clear bikers theme which looked gritty (think Hell's Angels).
