Having a pool at my parents I had to have one of these, because the old feeling-rod analog one drove me crazy with its unbelieveable readings.
And As I am very pleased with OregoneScientific stuff since 4 years, I thought nothing could go wrong.
You would expect that a pool thermometer bares in mind (or at least its constructors) that it will swim in chlorinated water for the rest of its live and not in a simple duckpond of freshwater telling them how their feet are.
So what happened: except all other reviews you can find on the net mine kept itsel dry (inside!) yes...but the chlorinated water fogged the display up so ugly that looking at the digits is an unpleasent thing to do.
Again - this sensor is for a pool...why make it so unfitted for the task?
Luckily my parents have a weatherstation in the house that can pick up the pool sensors data and display it there. So I know if the pool is ready for me or not. (Ok I could go and put my hand in it as well. But then again..)
